Ivy Vega

Ivy

Ivy is our professional Patient Experience Coordinator here at South Florida Psychiatry. She was raised in Miami, FL. She completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Miami-Dade College in 2013. Ivy began her career in education at a local Autism Center for children and adults and is well-rounded in our mental health specialty. Ivy is bilingual and is proficient in English and Spanish languages. She is involved in managing the schedule, and communicating with the client and team about coordination of care, insurance billing, and financial contracts.

 

Greta Alvarez, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC, CPN

Greta Alvarez is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental-Health Nurse Practitioner. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree with a minor in Psychology from Simmons University in Boston, Massachusetts. After caring for patients as a bedside nurse for over 5 years in her hometown of Miami, she decided to advance her career further with a focus in psychiatry. Greta obtained her Masters of Science in Nursing degree as a Psychiatric Mental-Health Nurse Practitioner from Florida International University and is currently a doctoral candidate. She is bilingual, speaking both English and Spanish and has been living in South Florida for many years now. She has a passion for helping others achieve a desired quality of life by promoting improvements in mental health. Her goal is to enable patients to flourish and unlock their true potential by providing exceptional quality care and a full understanding of their mental health needs. She looks forward to working with you and making an impact on your life.

 

Roston T. Moss Jr., MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC

Roston T. Moss Jr.,

Roston Moss is a board-certified nurse practitioner in psychiatry with the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). He received his Masters of Science in Nursing from Florida International University, Miami, Florida. He specializes in general psychiatry across the lifespan, with a concentration in geriatric psychiatry, treating all mental illnesses using a combination of virtual telemedicine, psychotherapy, medication management, and hospitalization.


As a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, Roston brings empathy, an easygoing communication style, and a light sense of humor, making it easy for him to talk to patients and family members. He is a nurse practitioner who really cares about his patients and has the patience to explain what course of treatment is best and why.


Roston was born in Nassau, Bahamas. He is a husband and a father. He is currently serving as an officer in the United States Navy Reserve Nurse Corps. In his spare time, he enjoys outdoor activities with his family, reading non-fiction books, and participating in webinars and conferences pertaining to mental health to remain current in all trends in psychiatry.

 

Rebeca Sanchez, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC

Roston T. Moss Jr.,

Rebeca Sanchez is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She received her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Florida International University in Miami, Florida. She is currently pursuing her Doctoral degree at Florida International University.


Rebeca is bilingual, fluent in both English and Spanish, and enjoys working with patients of all walks of life. She was initially drawn to the field after witnessing patients’ mental health concerns go unaddressed due to the impact of stigmatization. She has a passion for partnering with her patients to achieve optimal quality of life through individualized, non-judgmental, and evidence-based standards. Her goal is to foster a safe and supportive environment that allows patients the ability to connect and work towards a path of healing. She firmly believes that we always have something learn from one another, and that no one should embark on their mental health journey alone.


When she isn’t working, Rebeca enjoys reading books, volunteering in the community, completing Sudoku puzzles, and spending time with family.
